Sever Lack of power mazda 323f ba 1.8 auto?

I guessing the car sputters a bit at idle and struggles to get out of low RPMs. In that case you need the check the plugs first, then the wires, then the coilpack in that order. More then likely, one of the spark plug wires have gone bad causing a misfire. This should be fixed immediately to not cause further damage. Since youre misfiring, the fuel in the cylinder isnt being ignited and the raw fuel is being dumped through the header into the catalytic converter. The fuel is now being combusted in the "cat" and will cause a catalytic converter meltdown. The insides of the cat will break up and clog your exhaust piping causing extreme back pressure and a huge loss of power and engine overheating i.e. 30 seconds to accelerate to 45MPH.
