If I were you, I would save up a while longer till you have 500 bucks and get an Orion 12 or 10 inch dobsonian telescope. I got one and it has lasted 3 years so far, it is great for observing deep space objects and very dim galaxies. I have seen a mag 12 galaxy in only mag 5 skies with a 10 inch. The telescopes they sell are very sturdy and work great if you have a car to transport it in. I got a low profile focuser so now I can hook up a camera and take pictures just like you see in books. Check out digital Astro on yahoogroups. I'm in it and I have learned a lot from there.

What are these bugs in my car?!!?

Hello, i bought my first car last year from a man and woman off Craig's list who lived in riverside, OH... after getting it home my dad and i realized the bottom of the trunk that held the spare tire was filled completely with water. there were bugs flying in the water and what we thought was maggots. we were completely disgusted and tried calling the people to ask about what it was and they had already changed their numbers the next day...sketchy huh? we got the water cleaned out, and i kept seeing little tiny black bugs all in my car... well summer came and went and winter i seen none of them at all... but since it has gotten warm again they would pop up here and there. i lived in west carrollton ohio, close to dayton ohio and just a week or so ago moved to west milton ohio if that helps any? i have a problem with just throwing clothes bags ect in the backseat so after moving and cleaning out my car, i realized those bugs we thought were fly maggots were these bugs larva? they were crawling all over everything and i about threw up.. these tiny black bugs were crawling all over my shirts, blankets, in my back seat, over everything. they hide anywhere they can.. i sprayed RAID in my trunk because that's where they are coming from and thousands of them died along with hundreds other bugs in the backseat of my car... i vacuumed out my car and sprayed another can...next day they are all covering the back seat of my car again.. dead. and im not exaggerating "hundreds of them" to describe the bug its tiny...about the size of an earring backing..(that's the only size comparison i can come up with) they are roundish and long..their larva look like maggots but have stripes on their white bodies. the bugs are just black... they can fly though. i haven't noticed to see if they hop, but they definitely are not fleas because i used to have animals and i know what fleas are and these aren't fleas. there were none in winter like i said but now that its warmer they've been coming out again. i don't see how anything can live in my car with as hot as its been up here... 98 degrees in the day and even hotter inside of my car.. i think they are coming from the carpet my friend said he thought they were carpet beetles but i looked up pictures and that's not what they look like. i have no idea what they eat and are surviving on, because i keep no food in my car unless they are eating crumbs off the ground. they aren't bed bugs either. it could be a type of beetle perhaps but they dint have any antennae like most beetles do.. you can really even tell where their head starts and ends until you see which direction they're crawling in.. i don't know how many legs they have because they're too tiny to tell, but they don't bite or they haven't bitten me anyways. in the light it kinda looks like they have orange stripes or dots along the body of it kinda like the white larva have.. i keep vacuuming and spraying my car and hundreds have died but there's still those few that wont and its really grossing me out, does anyone have any idea or has anyone had a similar problem? im willing to try anything at this point

I have a BB gun as well i live in a city area in east london and trust me my advice do not take a bb gun or any gun in public unless packed unloaded or in a case and have good reason while travelling. You will be challenged by firearms officers if u did just like me in epping forest 5 police cars with guns aiming at me you dont wanna try it. okay so im 13, 5'4 115 lb. i have bad eating habits and i was wandering if its just a crash diet or like anorexia. so days that my parents arnt home and stuff i usually dont eat anything at all. just water or 0 calorie drinks. when my mom cooks dinner i just say i already ate and im not hungry. but when we go out to dinner like at a restaurant i usually eat a normal amount. because i dont want my parents thinking im not eating enough. and then just try to burn as much as i can off by running down our street or doing exercise videos. i am very insecure with the way i look...i always feel fatter then everyone else. even though i weight the same as most of my friends. if i eat anything i will start to freek out and ill just start running around to try and burn it off. losing weight is like on my mind 24/7. i also have an anxiety problem. so some nites i dont even sleep because im freeking out about how i look. i havnt really lost any weight.....but ive only been doing this for about 2 weeks. and when it comes to how many calories i eat in a day...every day is different. it could be 0 one day and 800 the next. i obsess about calories alot....if the box even says 0 on it, ill go back and check at least 4 times....i dont know why i do that though. and the longest ive gone without eating anything was 2 days i think. so ya i was just wondering if you guys think its just a regular crash diet or an eating disorder. i know im not underweight, so thats why i wasnt sure. Problems with my moms boyfriend?

Okay so my moms boyfriend moved in with us about a month ago. Im 14, so I still have to live with my mom... Anyways everything was fine until he started cooking dinner for us all the time, and he would always make the oven messy and he would never wash out the food in the dish before he put it in the sink. I mean I dont except them to be crystal clear when I wash them, because part of the job is to actually wash the dishes.. Dog does not eat by his own?

I have a male Cocker spaniel, he is 1.4 years old. For first 6-8 month I feed him with my hands as everybody does. Then I started with keep food in bowl. Should I replace the rear sight on my revolver?

I just sighted in my Ruger GP-100 at an indoor range, and it kept shooting to the left so after turning the adjustment screw and checking it several times, the rear sight blade is way to the right and you can see the adjustment screw backing out. Could the rear sight be that out of specs. from the factory, or could there be some other problem? It's sighted in now but I don't like how far the rear sight blade is off to the right. Have any of you ever seen a rear sight so out of whack on a handgun before? Should I replace the rear sight? I have used the stock factory sight on the front, and also a Hi-Viz sight on the front. With either of those two front sights, I still have to adjust the rear blade to the extreme right to pull the point of impact to the right. I was considering getting a Bowen Rough Country sight for the rear sight on my GP-100, but would like to know why it's so far off in the first place.

If you have not already, I would encourage you to read some of Carl Sagan's books, or even watch his Cosmos tv series (It's all on Hulu). Watching that and reading some of his books, Pale Blue Dot especially, really got me intrigued about the universe and our place in it. I would watch Cosmos and then invest in a good telescope. I'm in just the opposite situation myself; I've recently wanted to delve deeper into philosophy, maybe read some of the classics you mentioned. But yes, Richard Dawkins is great too. He's a biologist, but he has a lot of great books about evolution, religion, and lots of interesting things. But for astronomy, I would strongly suggest Dr. Sagan and a telescope to get you started.

Dylan, U$2,500 seems a little steep for hotel + flight. Air travel to Brazil is quite expensive, however the hotels in our “nordeste” you can def. get a good deal. Fortaleza is awesome, but depending on the purpose of your trip I recommend some of the neighboring beaches like Cumbuco or Jericoacoara (which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil!). There you can get hotels for like R$120 a night, which in today’s rate exchange is like U$75 a night. For two weeks that would be U$525 per person. These good deal hotels normally wont have a kitchen, they are simpler and called “pousadas”, look for this name when searching. They do include breakfast however, but I recommend looking for the local food restaurants with “picanha” or “feijoada” which are excellent (and cheap) local meals. Do you have any idea how much .357SiG ammo will be? I think you kinda answered your own question there. If your only practicing or using it for a bedside gun then why would you need a .357sig. If .357sig ammo is more than .357mag ammo then what is the advantage. They are both high velocity rounds. Yes you get faster reloads with the G34 over the magnum but your not carrying it so there is no worry. The only two advantages on getting a .357sig if your own a .357mag is the faster reloads and in some the .40SW conversion. Oh and it nice to shoot. I would go with the G17 or G19 in 9mm(I own one). It sounds like you need a good 9mm. Good luck on that!

Why are SAHM's so judgemental of working moms?

Im starting off by saying not all SAHM'S are, but lately I swear I am getting into it with every SAHM I meet! Im told that I have it easier cause I work and go to school and don't stay at home all day. That SAM'S have it harder cause they are a nurse, psychologist, cook etc. Just because I work and have s hool does not mean when I get home I don't cook, clean or take care of my baby. All good moms take care of their kids regardless if they work or not. Sorry, but being a SAHM does not make you a licensed RN, a trained chief etc. You are just a SAHM, just like I am a working mom. I chose to do school because I need to be able to support my family if something happens to my husband. Once I finish school I will likely only work part time to spend more time at home with my kids. From one shooter to another- How can i be more accurate with my handgun?

I have been having extreme accuracy problems with My almost brand new Glock model 20 10mm auto semi auto handgun. I have been shooting handguns for a good amount of years. Have lots of experience shooting 1911's. In fact my and my father went to the local range, me with my glock 20 and 100rds of CC1 blazer and my dad with his Kimber 1911 .45acp and 150rds of Magtech fmj. This was the first and only time i shot my Tupperware pistol but from a standard distance of 10yds my accuracy was a joke. i was hitting paper, but all over the place. to put it in idea i had probly a 2ft group. switching to the 1911 i had probly a 5 inch group at 20yds. I am 5'6, 125lbs, im a small guy that wears a medium sized glove, but even so i believe the extremely fat grip of the 15rd mag G20 negatively effects my shooting. i shoot thumbs forward, with both eyes open and shoot SO MUCH better with a single stack .45, obviously if i bought a glock i couldnt afford to get a 10mm 1911 but i just had to have the ballistic performance of the 10mm. Recoil wasnt an issue, but sheer size of the grip is. holding it when not shooting it isnt uncomfortable, feel good, but when it comes down to releasing some lead the grip wiggles around in my hand because it is not fully supported (I am guessing). I have been Kicking myself for buying it. i absolutely love the gun. it is 1 of 2 of my handguns the other being a 1954 Czech CZ52 7.62x25 which has no recoil, but isnt a serious weapon when it comes to performance and reliability. if i could swap the G20 for a 1911 .45 i would, but cant. so my fellow handgun heads what do you recommend i do to get use out of this bad boy?

I recently captured some ants. They are all argentine ants. I caught one queen, 3 alates(I dont know what genders they are), and 10 workers. On the first day all of the workers slowly left their queen and went to the test tube with water and food. Eventually the queen went to them and they were fine for about a day.
