Why is it a disproportionate majority of questions are asked first in The States?

Granted, points are given for answering and it costs five to ask a question. Still, are we drugged with USA-addiction, or are we too unconcerned and stoic, resigned to be curious, interested, ask for answers in our own right? Remember, Milton-on-Keynes sounds as mysterious to someone in the Bronx, as someone in the Bronx seems to us. So? What is it? Yes, there are dozens of States and 4 members of the U.K. Still the difference is disproportionate. So,, tell me why?
