Does it seem like MLB is purposefully trying to push African-American players away from the sport?

The treatment the players you mentionion was completely brought on by themselves. I don't think baseball fans even see color. There are players from just about all ethnic backgrounds in the sport, and the fans treat them according to how they play, and their character on and off the field. That Afro-American sympathy thing is getting old.
